ONDO WILL SUSTAIN CHOLERA FREE STATUS


Ondo state government is not resting until it ensures that cholera outbreak did not get to the state. There has been cholera outbreak in Osun where Owena town is the neighbouring town.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju said the state government is ensuring that the border towns are covered. He added that health surveillance are on their toes to ensure that any case of infection is taking care of first hand and very seriously.


Adeynaju stated that there will be a sensitization programme today at the Owena market to sensitize and talk to the people living there to make sure they don’t get contaminated. He posited that they will be sensitized on the symptoms and what to know about the disease.

The Commissioner also said, the train will move to Owena Comprehensive Health Center to ensure drugs and material are on ground to combat the disease.
