Ondo state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju has
reinterated government’s effort at bringing quality health care to the people
of the state.
The commissioner who stated this in an interview said
government is deliberately investing in human capital.
He said health care delivery is quite cardinal and brings
people out of poverty. Dr. Adeyanju posited that governments in most tiers are
shying away from their responsibilities
in the areas of health, adding that
Ondo state is reversing the trend. According to him
“All tiers of government is shying away from their
responsibility by not providing adequate health care for the people of the
country but in Ondo State, we are reversing the trend. We will make our people
to enjoy free health care services through Abiye safe motherhood, free health
for children under 5 and 5 to 18 years and also to people above 70 years and
many more”
He said health is a statutory right of the people and
qualitative health care must be given to the people.
